Territory indie-pop 5-piece At The Dakota are once again venturing out from their Top End hometown of Darwin in support of their new single – ‘Rat King City’ – available from May 1st!

Last year brought the release of their debut EP ‘Stories’ including award-winning single ‘Stumptail’ (NT Song of the Year – People’s Choice), followed by a national tour and major shows supporting The Rubens and The Bennies.

To keep the momentum going, the band headed back into the studio to record with NT Song of the Year winner and Territory-renowned producer and artist Ben Allen (Broadwing) to record their follow-up EP, selecting ‘Rat King City’ as the first release.

The song tells a story of personal connection and banding together in times of trouble, commenting on human desire for intimacy and unity. It offers insight into the band’s evolution since their last release, with ‘Rat King City’ showcasing a more refined and upbeat sound.
